About the game

LIQUID is a surreal mystery adventure driven by text, investigation and choices. It begins in an empty casino, with a woman's body lying in a pool of blood. Play as Detective Todd: examine the scene, search for objects, read the clues and follow your own judgment as you investigate her death.

The story does not unfold in a straight line. Clues and metaphors lie in objects, conversations and contradictory details. Another perspective, another choice, and a familiar event may take on a different meaning.

The world

After the Great Renewal, an energy-starved society lives under intertwined military, political and religious powers. The scholar Albert invents Prometheus, a machine that can turn anything into liquid fuel. Some hope it will change the world. Others fear that those at the bottom of society will become its raw material.

Some say the machine runs on human brains; others call it a tool for Temple Bishop Jones to control people's minds. Then Albert's partner, the actress Emma, dies under mysterious circumstances, and Todd begins his investigation. Was she a victim of an experiment, a crime of passion, or suicide? What connects her death to the machine?


Experience the same mystery through Todd, Albert and Emma. Your investigations and choices affect the characters' mental states and what happens next, leading to different endings. But can you trust the stories they tell?
